Acupuncture Associates of Bel Air requires full payment at the time service are rendered. Please contact your insurance carrier to determine your benefits. We will provide you with a receipt that is properly coded for insurance reimbursement. You can submit this receipt to your insurer for payment directly to you.
Medicare does not cover acupuncture treatments at this time. Many primary carriers and secondary carriers (HAS and 125 plans) do provide acupuncture benefits. Please confirm your coverage.
Give your insurer a call if you are uncertain about your coverage or benefits. Ask for the name and return phone number of the person who provides information to you. Ask the following questions:
1. Do you cover acupuncture?
2. Are there specific circumstances when you cover acupuncture? (example: pain, only if an M.D. does the treatment, etc.)
3. Do I need a referral from an MD in order for my policy to cover acupuncture?
4. Do I have a limit to my coverage? (24 treatments in one calendar year, etc.)
If you have any questions or your carrier needs further information, please contact us at the numbers at the end of this page.
